Cecilia is a proud first-generation Latina college graduate with a passion for fostering community connection and empowerment. As a Program Manager at a nonprofit in Chicago’s Back of the Yards, she leads initiatives that address local needs, from large-scale events like toy drives and back-to-school celebrations to programs focused on youth engagement and wellness.
In addition to her work, she recently launched a community book club designed to bring women from diverse backgrounds together. The group creates a welcoming space for members to explore literature, engage in meaningful conversations, and build connections that extend beyond the pages of the books they read. Cecilia believes that storytelling has the power to inspire and unite people, making the book club a natural extension of her commitment to fostering community.
