Renee Ugwuja is a dedicated Chicago native and Senior IT Project Manager consultant deeply committed to her community’s growth. She founded a giving back initiative called “The Lightbox Project,” which is aimed at promoting literacy as well as closing the digital divide in underserved communities on the Westside of Chicago.
As part of the Change Collective leadership cohort, Renee intends to elevate her leadership skills by building partnerships, solidifying tools and resources, and amplifying her reach for community change. She passionately believes that advocacy in addressing the social determinants in underserved communities can turn The Lightbox Project into a beacon of light and opportunity for Chicago’s underserved neighborhoods.
