DeCarri (she/her/hers) is a Black former erotic laborer and community organizer from Chicago’s South Side. She has been an active advocate for sociopolitical issues since 2015. In June 2020, she joined Haymarket Pole Collective to begin the Chicago chapter to push the founder’s ideas of creating provocative policies to better protect the Black and Indigenous communities within erotic spaces, and honor our civil and human rights. She went on to organize multiple mutual aid initiatives for Black sex workers in Chicago to increase accessibility to material needs.
She currently organizes capacity-building initiatives and facilitates a leadership development program at a national reproductive justice advocacy organization.
