Terun Moore is an activist from Jackson, MS. Terun is a returning citizen with a passion for redemption. He is an advocate for prison reform and alternatives to incarceration. Through People’s Advocacy Institute (PAI), a nonprofit he co-founded, he has created programs and initiatives that allow communities to govern and protect themselves, and connect people to the resources they need.
He is excited about his restorative justice Civic Action Plan that he hopes to achieve during his time with the Change Collective. The project is to take youth from their Strong Arms of MS program, teach them carpentry and plumbing skills, then use those skills to repair elderly people’s homes in the communities they serve and live in.
