Gregory E. Smith was born and raised in Jackson, MS where he attended Jackson Public Schools from K-12th grades. In 2015 he enrolled in Jackson State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2020, master’s in teaching in 2021, and a specialist in education leadership and supervision in 2023. He plans to continue his education at JSU while obtaining a PhD in education leadership and supervision.
While at JSU, Greg became very involved in his community by joining Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Gregory loves to tutor and mentor the next generations. His favorite quote is “Don’t let anyone tell you the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”
