Latetrica Wilson is a dynamic professional with a proven track record in leadership, strategic planning, and community engagement. A native of the rhythm and blues music hub of the south, Memphis, Tennessee, she is committed to child and human development. Latetrica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development and Family Relations from Tennessee State University, followed by a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Human Development and Family Studies from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed. D.) in Pre-K-12 District Leadership.
Growing up in an underserved community, Latetrica is passionate about improving children’s quality of life and addressing socio-economic issues in distressed communities of color. Her educational background enables her to address barriers related to quality pre-K in Black Belt regions, childhood trauma, infant mortality, and social-emotional learning. She lives by Nelson Mandela’s quote: “No country can really develop unless its citizens are educated.”
In her spare time, Latetrica enjoys traveling, kickboxing, and volunteering at her church.
