Christian Warren

Christian is a Memphis native and proud graduate of Christian Brothers High School and Rhodes College, where he earned a degree in Political Science. As a Special Assistant for Policy to Mayor Young, he is dedicated to advancing the interests of Memphis residents through thoughtful, equity-centered policy change. In his role, Christian brings legal training and community advocacy experience to key issues, such as transportation, public safety, and the creative and cultural economy, among others. Before joining the city, Christian gained firsthand insight into Memphis’s criminal and civil justice systems through his legal externship with the Public Defender’s Office and his work at Donati Law. He is also the founder of The Memphis Way, a civic and cultural initiative that uplifts the city’s identity by celebrating its greatest export: Memphis music curated by local musicians. Through the Change Collective, Christian will focus on policy solutions that strengthen Memphis’s creative and cultural ecosystem. His project aims to elevate local artists, remove systemic barriers, and help restore Memphis as a place where creatives can build sustainable careers while fostering connection and community through live music.
