Joi Taylor

Joi Taylor is a lifelong Memphian deeply committed to her city and its residents. She graduated from The University of Memphis with a degree in Social Work and a minor in Spanish, driven by her aspiration to become a real change agent in the economic and community development of Memphis. Joi advocates passionately for quality education and is dedicated to addressing chronic homelessness in her hometown. She has served on various boards and councils, recognized as part of Memphis Flyer’s Top 20 under 30 class of 2020.

Currently, Joi Taylor serves as the Founder and Director of the Choose901 Alumni Program, where her community-focused passion drives efforts to connect, champion, and equip alumni from six partner schools for opportunities in Memphis. Her days are dedicated to strategizing and implementing initiatives that empower alumni to assume leadership roles and ownership as visionaries in shaping the future of Memphis.
