Elon Sloan

Elon Sloan (they/them) is a Chicago-based consultant and facilitator. Elon’s work is informed by post-colonial epistemology, constructivist pedagogy, and popular education. They are passionate about helping people and organizations uncover the processes and structures they need to move toward their goals. Elon’s past experience of working in non-profit programs includes arts, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, sex education, and sexual violence prevention. Elon currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Disabilities Fund at the Chicago Community Trust. As a Black, queer, and chronically ill person they’re deeply committed to bridging frameworks to action, and theory into concrete steps to making change. When artmaking, Elon is interested in the opportunity artmaking presents for marginalized people to make the theoretical manifest, and assert their capacity to create knowledge in order to affect their realities. Elon is also a member of the LBTQ Giving Council at the Chicago Foundation for Women, Disability Lead, and Chicago Women in Philanthropy.
