Pauline A. Rubio

Pauline A. Rubio is a born and bred San Antonian with an affinity for civic engagement. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and with an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University SA, she has maintained her education in public policy and art history. Her career has consisted of working in public policy within the federal, state and municipal sectors; lobbying for the collective business community via chambers of commerce; as a professor of small business finance at her local community college; and serving on County commission boards. Currently, she is the Economic Development Policy Advisor to a City Councilman.

As an arts advocate, Pauline is aware of our nation’s call for a more innovative workforce and is determined to one day inspire c-suite decision makers to lobby legislatures for more public funding for the arts in early childhood education. She has returned to her passion sport of doubles tennis and is also currently curbing her enthusiasm for daily jigsaw puzzling.

Through The Change Collective experience, Pauline looks to gain insight from her local neighborhood alliance and inspire other neighborhood associations, in underserved areas, to also formalize an alliance with the goal of influence on local public policy.
