Marqueta Perkins-Clayborne is a mission-driven operational and community leadership professional based in Jackson, Mississippi. She has worked in the nonprofit sector in Jackson, MS for over 8 years in human resources and operations management. Marqueta holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Human Resources, as well as a Human Resource Management Certification and a Healthcare Administration Certificate both from Belhaven University.
Deeply committed to community advancement, Marqueta is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a Fellow of the Mississippi Black Leadership Institute, Leadership Greater Jackson, and the Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits’ Excellence in Action Fellowship. Her work and civic engagement reflect her passion for equity, capacity building, and strengthening systems that support women, families, and underserved communities.
Marqueta is equally grounded in her family life. She is married to Patrick Clayborne Sr. and is a proud mother to Patrick Jr., Zaniyah, and Kevin, who inspire her dedication to creating meaningful change across Mississippi.
Through her leadership, service, and continuous learning, Marqueta strives to uplift communities and build pathways to opportunity for future generations.
