Frankye Payne is a Chicago native with over twelve years of experience in architecture, community development, and urban planning. She is a project leader and manager for various communities within the City of Chicago, with a focus on grassroots organizations and non-profits. Throughout her career, Frankye has been a community advocate and brings a unique perspective to city initiatives as the Director of Chicago Main Streets. Her goal is to foster development, political and economic growth, and support and equality in Chicago’s underserved communities. Frankye holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Community Development, as well as a master’s degree in Architectural Engineering. She is passionate about improving neighborhoods through programs and best practices to help communities thrive.
