From the beginning of her career, Amber Parker has specialized in identifying people’s gifts and talents and helping them find the best way to channel them. Amber currently serves as a Program Assistant and has worked in a variety of nonprofit spaces for nearly a decade. She considers herself a servant leader and is driven by the concept that the provision of equitable resources for all, especially for marginalized voices, is foundational for reshaping systems that embrace lived experience as an asset, not a detriment.
A native of Jackson, Amber earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications and Master of Business Administration from the Mississippi University for Women. She was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated in 2016 in Jackson. As a graduate student at the W, Amber joined The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, received the MBA Scholarship, and was a Class Scholar. Over her tenure with The Change Collective, she plans to create community-centered initiatives that amplify the voices of neurodivergent youth and adults in Jackson through storytelling and develop workshops, peer support groups, and convening sessions that provide resources on best practices for school and workplace advocacy.
