Dr. Courtney B. Morris is a distinguished educator dedicated to creating effective pathways for promising scholars and their families. A proud Detroit native, she has navigated every level of the higher education system, establishing herself as a scholar, researcher, practitioner, and activist advocating for equitable access to knowledge and information within communities. She currently serves as the Director of a legacy college readiness and access program, now in its fifth decade, in the Metro Detroit area and is also the founder of an education-focused social enterprise rooted in equity and knowledge-sharing.
With over a decade of professional experience, Dr. Morris has held key roles within local school districts, where she successfully developed post-secondary programs designed to support student achievement. Her work also extends to nonprofits that guide students through college and philanthropic organizations focused on educational and youth development initiatives. Her research centers on fostering generational wealth for marginalized and at-promise youth through the lens of culturally relevant pedagogy and learning.
