Damonta D. Morgan

Damonta D. Morgan is a MS Delta native whose life and career reflect a deep commitment to community, collaboration, and broad-based advancement for the people of Mississippi. A graduate of Vanderbilt University and Columbia Law School, he has served in roles that place public service and justice at the center of his work — from clerking for federal judges to completing a fellowship at the U.S. Department of Justice. Damonta has consistently focused on bringing people together across backgrounds, co-founding initiatives that strengthen community ties and expanding opportunities for those historically left out of legal and civic pathways. Now practicing in Jackson, he channels his experience in appellate and civil-rights–oriented work toward building a future in which every resident has a stake, ensuring that progress in the city is inclusive, shared, and accessible to all.
