Keenan Lowery, a native Memphian, is a dedicated community leader, advocate, public speaker, political strategist, and mentor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Lane College in 2018. While at Lane College, Keenan became a member of the Beta Pi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
After graduating, Keenan returned to Memphis to drive positive change in the community he was born and raised in. For six years, he focused on fostering equity and tackling the complex social challenges that neighborhoods face through his role at Choose901/City Leadership. Keenan is the Founder and Executive Director of The Dreams Foundation, an organization committed to helping individuals harness the power of their personal journeys, develop their skills, and take action in shaping a brighter future.
Keenan is a graduate of Leadership Memphis and Leadership Tennessee, was inducted into the inaugural Lane College 20 Under 40 Alumni Society, and was just awarded as a top 40 under 40 urban elite professional in Memphis. He was a part of the movement to elect Paul Young as Mayor of Memphis, and works alongside his administration to bring city government to neighborhoods. He currently serves as the Communications Operations Administrator for the Office of Communications under Chief Communications Officer Penelope Huston.
