Aswa Kamal is a dedicated public servant committed to advancing equity, opportunity, and meaningful policy change. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science and global affairs at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her experience spans public policy, most notably serving as a Policy Analyst in the Texas State Legislature, where she was able to pass a bill advocating for increased veteran’s mental health services.
Aswa has also participated in national leadership and policy programs such as the Harvard Kennedy School Public Policy Leadership Conference, HACU’s National Capitol Forum, and the United Nations International Human Rights Summit. She looks forward to growing as a leader through the Change Collective and using what she learns to support and uplift her community.
