Johannes Favi

Johannes Favi is a passionate advocate for social justice and human rights, dedicated to fostering equity and inclusion for underserved communities. He is the Founder and CEO of Caged Dreams, a nonprofit organization that provides innovative mental health support for immigrants, regardless of their stage in the reintegration process. Through telehealth and community-based programs, Caged Dreams ensures that all immigrants have access to the care and support they need to thrive.

In recognition of his impactful leadership, Johannes was honored with the Jeanne and Joseph Sullivan Human Rights Award from the National Immigrant Justice Center and the Special Service Award from the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago. He was also celebrated by the Chicago City Council during National Hispanic Heritage Month for his contributions to uplifting immigrant communities.

Johannes is currently an Emerging Leaders Fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, where he is developing strategies to address global challenges and promote sustainable solutions for immigrant populations. A 2024 graduate of the Civic Leadership Academy at the University of Chicago, Johannes continues to champion justice and equality through his work. He is also a proud father of three, drawing inspiration from his children to build a brighter future.
