Jessica Davenport, a Jackson, MS native, is a dynamic leader with a passion for organizational development, human resources, and strategic communications. She embodies the value of “service before self” in every aspect of her career. With several years of experience in the hospitality industry, she has worked to create inclusive and efficient workplace cultures across various industries.
Currently serving as Program Director at Rootdown, Jessica has been instrumental in developing and operating 11 active stores while fostering a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that empowers teams to succeed. Her background in marketing and strategy has strengthened her ability to activate the change she wants to see in the workplace and her community.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Jackson State University and a Master of Science in leadership from Belhaven College. She is also a proud graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson and the Mississippi Black Leadership Institute. A dedicated mental health advocate, foodie, mom, and happiness chaser, Jessica is committed to creating spaces where people can thrive both professionally and personally.
Through the Change Collective, she aims to deepen her expertise in community-driven leadership and policy advocacy, collaborating with like-minded professionals to drive meaningful, systemic change.
