Latrel Crawford, a proud Chicago native, is the Director of Program Success at Braven, a national non-profit that empowers underrepresented young people, particularly first-generation college students and Pell Grant recipients, to successfully transition from college to meaningful careers. In his role, Latrel leads efforts to support students of color, ensuring they have the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive in their careers and create lives of impact.
As an activist and community organizer, Latrel is deeply committed to racial and economic justice, focusing on dismantling systemic oppression and advocating for the advancement of Black communities. His work blends his passion for the arts with his commitment to social justice. As an actor, he uses storytelling to challenge societal perceptions, provoke critical conversations, and foster empathy. For Latrel, the stage is more than just a platform for entertainment; it’s a space to amplify narratives of struggle, resilience, and hope.
