Chloe Barnes-Henderson

Chloe Barnes-Henderson is the founder of Athletech Academy, a Detroit-based nonprofit that leverages AI and emerging technology to redefine secondary education for every student driven to pursue a career in sports. As a former Division I student-athlete and collegiate athletics administrator, she pairs lived experience with a decade of work across sports, media, advertising, and tech to build future-ready learning pathways.

Barnes-Henderson is also a professor at Michigan State University, where she teaches courses on NIL strategy and digital monetization, helping student-athletes understand their market value and build sustainable brands. She develops curriculum that upskills professionals and makes AI easy and accessible, and has worked with TechTown Detroit and its STEEP program as a program facilitator and advisor to founders and innovators.

A Trailblazer in Residence at BasBlue Detroit and a graduate of the Outskill AI Generalist Fellowship and McKinsey Black Executive Leadership Program, she is called on to speak about the future of sports, education, and work, and applies her expertise to designing practical, future-ready learning experiences for students of all ages. She is also deeply committed to lifelong service to her community as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and The Links, Incorporated.
