Jorge Arteaga is a community leader rooted in the South Side of Chicago after growing up in the Gage Park neighborhood. Jorge currently leads research and advocacy efforts to improve workforce outcomes and working conditions for young adults at Young Invincibles as the Midwest Program Manager.
In this role, Jorge engages with young adults to strategize solutions to the issues faced as they navigate the workforce and elevate these voices to influence policy and lawmakers. Jorge has over 6 years of experience working across communities addressing needs in civic engagement, workforce outcomes, education, and leadership development. He has worked on issues on a city, state, national, and global scale to support a variety of communities and needs.
In his previous role, Jorge developed and managed cultural intelligence leadership programs for Common Purpose as the US Programs Manager. Bringing together young adults from across the globe to develop skills that can help them work and address issues across cultural communities. Jorge has also lent his skills as a consultant for nonprofits seeking to improve engagement with communities and programmatic efforts.
Jorge recently completed the inaugural Independent Sector Bridging Fellowship and was selected as a member of the 2019 Obama Foundation Leadership Corps.
