Diajah Ruffin

Diajah Ruffin is a nonprofit leader and community advocate committed to strengthening Black-led organizations. As the Project and Partnerships Manager at Communities First, Inc., she drives initiatives that promote economic mobility, equitable real estate investment, and community engagement. With over seven years of experience in the nonprofit and political sectors, she has successfully developed programs, built strategic partnerships, and positioned organizations for sustainable impact.

Through the Change Collective, Diajah will develop a capacity-building framework for Black-led nonprofits in Detroit, equipping them with tools to secure funding, expand partnerships, and measure their impact. This Civic Action Plan will address challenges many organizations face, such as limited resources and visibility, by providing strategic guidance and practical solutions.  Guided by her belief that we are “Better Together,” Diajah is committed to creating sustainable opportunities for Black nonprofits to thrive and lead lasting change.
